Today was the last day of 6th grade for my son Parker. To celebrate the last day of school and all the successes of the year, all students, parents, and teachers gathered for the annual award ceremony.
Parker accepted many awards on the day including, Best History student, Best Science student, Best Guitar student, and an award for Truthful Character.
However, one of my proudest moments as a father came when he was awarded the “Hungry for God” Award. This was presented to the student (5-12 grade) who expressed the greatest desire to grow in, and improve his relationship with God this past year. Wendy and I couldn’t be more proud of him. I may have shed a tear.
