After two amazing services on Good Friday, Sunday was crazy. It was a “friendship circle” at the 7am service with just over 200 people in attendance. Apparently Austinites are not a big fan of sunrise services. If you were there, you will go down in history as that was likely our first and last early morning service.
However, we rebounded at 9a and 11a with over 1300 and 1800 respectively. With an auditorium that seats 1450, the 11a service saw people sitting in both lobbies, in stairwells, on the floor, anywhere they could find a seat. Glad the Fire Marshal didn’t decide to swing by. Our total attendance for the weekend was just over 5100.
I’m not sure of the final number, but at least 6 people gave their hearts and minds to Christ as a result. And that my friends is what it’s all about.
